Summary
The only reason Apollo even notices the little bakery-cafe is because the only other person he finds on the street at this time besides him is sitting in front of it. The only reason he even notices them at all is because they’re wearing, of all things, a pink top hat and matching cape, which is really not particularly common LA 6 AM streetwear in Apollo’s experience—although it’s not completely out of the bounds of normality, either, so he decides to reserve his immediate judgment.
Which is either the best or worst decision of his entire life, the jury’s still out.

Lana, for what it’s worth, hardly bats an eye. She finishes annotating whatever she’s working on in her spellbook and lays her quill down to safely spare her papers any excess ink before she so much as glances up at Mia.
Her flat-eyed but half-hearted glare might be more effective if she didn’t look so cute doing it.

Her hair’s brown and short and sweat-messy, slipping out of the brightly-colored clips near her temples and clinging around her jaw and to the arm flung over her face to shield her from the sun. She’s wearing work boots and jeans with some truly impressive stains around the knees and, inexplicably, a dirt-streaked Blue Badger T-shirt, the likes of which Dick hasn’t seen in years.
He dislikes her instantly.
Or: (more than) 5 times Dick and Maggey sit on a stone wall together, and 1 time they find someone else there instead.

Most People wouldn't be separated for nearly 15 years after meeting, and Most People don't ever lose their color vision unless they lose their soulmate, and Most People learn how to talk worries over with their loved ones (or at least a therapist? a random bar patron? literally anyone) instead of bottling everything up and fleeing the country, but.
They figure it out. And then they figure it out again, and again, and they keep figuring it out. Together. (...Eventually.)

It’s easy enough to answer the court’s first few questions: the defense is ready; the cause of death was poisoning; the motive, the “bad blood” between the parties involved, was, of course, Dahlia Hawthorne, the victim’s girlfriend and the defendant’s ex. They're the right answers, Mia's sure of it. As surely as she knows her client didn't do it, surely as she's going to do everything in her power to prove Mr. Swallow's innocence.
...So why does it all feel so wrong?

“What? Like date both of us at once until you figure it out?” Jamie asked.
Roy was staring at Jamie now. Or maybe glaring. It was hard to tell.
“What if I just want two boyfriends?” she asked.
She had meant it as a joke to try to lighten the mood. But as soon as the words left her mouth, she wanted to take them back.
They weren’t laughing. They didn’t look like they thought she was joking.
Set after season 3. Keeley doesn't know what to do about having feelings for both Roy and Jamie. They agree to her having separate relationships with each of them, but as time goes on the lines between Roy and Jamie get more and more blurred.

Summary
Jamie is one of the returning contestants on the latest season of Lust Conquers All. He thinks taking a break from Keeley and Roy will give him a chance to move on and give them a chance to get back together with him out of the way, but things don't go as planned.
Jamie's not likely to last many weeks while he's rubbing everyone the wrong way by sticking to Roy's strict training regimen and talking about Roy so much that several contestants start to wonder if Jamie has a boyfriend back home.
Meanwhile, Roy's trying to enjoy watching the new season with the yoga mums, but that proves difficult when Jamie talks about him so much that the whole country seems to think that Jamie's in love with him. But there's nothing that Roy can do about it. At least not while he's stuck at home and Jamie's off sequestered without his phone...
(Set during the off-season after season 3)
