    "Look, Hajime—"

"A truce," Iwaizumi declared, not giving Oikawa the chance to finish.

"—A truce?" Oikawa repeated suspiciously. "What truce?"

"I'd like to call a truce. In the spirit of the Olympics, if you want," he waved his hand dismissively. "Just for this month, can I have you back?"

When Oikawa returns after nearly a decade abroad, Iwaizumi offers him an olive branch in a last-ditch attempt to salvage a relationship that has never really ended. In the quiet crevices between glory and nostalgia, they're forced to figure out what matters most — and maybe more importantly, what matters just as much.

    Summary

“He’s here,” Sirius whispered. “Standing with Lord Rosier.”
Across the ballroom, James found Rosier standing near a column. He was with his twin sister, Lady Pandora Rosier, and—
It couldn’t be. James felt his stomach swoop down into the bowels of the Earth, for the man standing with Lord Rosier could not be Lord Regulus Black, Marquess of Islington. Surely, Sirius was gravely mistaken. Had he much to drink before arriving at the ball? James couldn't recall.
His throat was thick with apprehension, the cravat his valet had skillfully arranged robbing him of breath. That man could not be Sirius' brother. He could not be, because he was Gabriel Tissier, a French gentleman James had met—and rather scandalously kissed—two years ago in Paris.
“Are you quite certain?” James said, voice strangled.
Sirius looked at him with an odd expression. “Of course, I am certain. He’s my brother.”
At that moment, Mr. Tissier—or Lord Islington—looked up and met James’ gaze. Recognition flitted across his face, accompanied by a dangerous tilt of his lips. Heat raced up to James’ cheeks. So, he remembered, too.

    Summary

James snorts. “I’d rather be murdered by a serial killer than have feelings for one.”

    “He’s killed people?”

James doesn’t really know, to be honest. The Black family is a high-rolling crime syndicate at this point, shoddily disguised as a media conglomerate. He's not sure how much of a role Regulus plays since he’s still in university, but as soon as he graduates, he’ll take his rightful place in that den of vipers.

And one day, he will own it.

“The simplest answer is no," he sighs.

Nothing brings people together more viscerally than mutual hatred. Regulus Black would know.

Or the fic in which Regulus Black, after two years of estrangement from one meddlesome Sirius Black, agrees to accompany his brother and his brother’s horrible friends on a one-week vacation at a cabin in rural Norway, all in the glorious name of hatred (or is it love?).

    Summary

Eddie is made of shattered glass. Not like a mosaic - not something broken made beautiful. No, Eddie is all sharp points and jagged edges; he’s hurt everyone that’s ever tried to hold him.

But Buck…Buck holds him like it’s easy. Like there’s nothing else in the world he would rather be doing. He holds Eddie like he’s precious, cradling him between gentle hands with a kind of reverence that is usually reserved for something holy. Something god-like. And then Eddie catches a glimpse of him and Buck in the mirror next to Buck’s bed, and he thinks oh. He thinks maybe this is as close to heaven as a man like him will ever get.

So no one can blame him for wanting to enjoy it while it lasts.
