Summary
It was still hard to believe Dean dropped a hunt to drive Castiel through half of the USA for a small lead about Metatron’s whereabouts. With no more Mark of Cain to worry about, Heaven more or less stable and Rowena trail going cold, Castiel had enough time and head to try to fix one more of his previous mistakes.
Or, the one where Castiel and Dean go to Miami Beach to search Metatron and spend some quality together that deepers the bond between them. Figuratively and literally.

Summary
Dean wakes up one day to find himself living a happy, apple-pie life with Cas, with no clue of how he got there, and no idea how to get back to his own reality. Just when he finally accepts that he might be stuck there, and that maybe being stuck doing life with Cas is what he might actually want, Dean is dragged back to real life only to discover it was all just a djinn-induced dream.
Having gotten a taste of what life with Cas could really be like, Dean can't cope with their 'just friends' status anymore, but he doesn't know how to approach Cas about it, especially since the former-angel has been unusually standoffish and reserved these last few months.
Will Dean find a way to confess his feelings and go after the one thing he really wants?

"Cas?", he asked, tripping over his bedsheets when he tried to step towards the angel's voice. "Damnit, can you read minds now? I was going to pray to you but-Cas?!" Dean immediately jumped towards Castiel and tried to hold him up against his chest. The angel was swaying, hands gripping tight on to the table he was leaning against. "What happened to you?"
"I am sorry for disturbing you. I didn't know where else to go", Cas slurred out, ignoring Dean's question and politely tried to get himself out of the hunter's grip. He failed miserably, only collapsing more into Dean's arms.

Cas is hurt and has just one place he can go to-or rather just one person. When he crashed into Dean's motel room, Dean is left to tend to his wounds and old feelings resurface along with more problems. Will they work everything out in the end?
