The stranger quirks a smile, his eyes twinkling a little. He’s very cute, actually, but Jimin is hardly concerned with that right now.
“Aren’t you going to introduce me?” the man asks expectantly, glancing at Hyungsik.
“Of course,” Jimin says, turning to face Hyungsik. “How rude of me. Hyungsik, this is my boyfriend.”
The corners of his mouth twitch. “What?”
“Yes,” Jimin repeats. “My boyfriend. His name is...” Jimin finds the stranger’s foot with his own and steps on it gently, crushing the toe of his chunky sneaker under his Chelsea boot.
“Jungkook,” the man says, and it sounds like he’s choking back a laugh. “My name is Jungkook.”

When Namjoon turns back around, Jungkook is looking at him in wide-eyed horror.
“Oh my God, I’m so rude. I didn’t even offer you anything to drink. And you’re probably freezing. Look at me, just decorating my tree like you aren’t even here?! Why am I the worst? Can I get you anything? Tea, or coffee, or something?”
Jungkook practically sprints out of the living room. “Do you want a cookie?” he calls, halfway down the hall by now, disappearing towards what Namjoon assumes must be the kitchen.
“Are they chocolate chip?” Namjoon calls after him hesitantly.
“What other kind of cookie is there?” Jungkook shouts back.
This man might be my soulmate, Namjoon thinks to himself.
It’s kind of weird how comfortable he feels, sitting here in a stranger’s home — but there’s something about Jungkook’s unassumingness, the way he’s flitting around the house like a bird with too much energy, fetching treats like some sort of angelic cookie fairy. Namjoon has lost all motivation to leave.

Summary

Perhaps the man who moves in below changes his course— Namjoon— that anchor he so desperately needs as he’s thrown overboard by unwavering anxiety, and whilst doubts may find their settle, they’re ones that find their falter through tender words and a kindness Yoongi has never quite felt from another.
Yoongi isn"t quite certain he could ever let someone in, so why does baring all to Namjoon seem that little too easy?
