Summary
And Patrick… Patrick can understand that, too. Because as much as he likes going trick-or-treating in his mom’s neighborhood and being half of a two-man team with his son, it does get lonely, sometimes. Most of the people he encounters there are married couples, single moms, and the occasional grandparents. The prospect of spending the night with Pete, his best friend, their kids wandering around together and trading candy afterward, is one that fills Patrick with joy.
Plus, a part of him has been fantasizing that maybe, once the kids have all fallen asleep, he and Pete will curl up together on the couch and watch a movie, and maybe Pete’s head will fall onto his shoulder, and maybe one thing will lead to another and he’ll wake up the next morning with Pete in his arms.
Patrick may be caught up in said fantasy when he asks, “So what about our costumes?”
Pete and Patrick may or may not be doing a Couple"s Costume, and it may or may not be A Thing.

Summary
“We don’t have to,” Pete continues softly, his expression morphing into something more like a comforting smile than a mask. His thumb rubs circles on the inside of Patrick’s knee. “We can watch a movie, or write— whatever you want.”
Patrick looks into Pete’s eyes, black when the bus is between streetlights and flashing amber when under one. There’s no need to do this if their other tactics will work, and there’s nothing saying they won’t at the moment.
And yet, his head is full of Pete, of the siren’s call of stripped down to our skeletons.
Patrick says, “I want you… I want you to.”
Patrick can"t sleep- Pete"s lyrics are keeping him up. Pete helps him by taking a page out of Patrick"s book.

“The whole Cain-and-Abel thing,” Dean blusters. “Us dead. Whatever. I"ll kill Sam. Sam will kill me. We"ll kill each other. Okay? You pick. But, first, you gotta put everything back the way it was,” Dean continues, and this, this is why he’s Chuck’s favourite. Even at his lowest, he’s still making demands. “The people, the birds, Cas. You gotta bring him back.”
Even at his lowest, Dean still lets himself hope for something.
It’s fascinating.
“We"re surrendering,” Sam finishes their little speech. “We"re giving up.”
Chuck nods, as if he’s thinking it over.
But the eager glint in his eyes gives him away.
“Okay. Dean, kill Sam.”

Chuck takes the Winchesters up on their offer in 15x19. Dean, Cas, and Jack deal with the fallout for their relationships. It gets worse before it gets better.
