“W-wait—” Kaveh holds up his palm, the greens of Sumeru so eerily similar to Al-Haitham’s eyes. “W-Where’s Al-Haitham?”
The Matra’s face scrunches in confusion, “Pardon me?”
“Al-Haitham, y’know? The Scribe? Acting Grand Sage?” Kaveh’s tone grows higher and higher. When he looks around, there are no traces of his shitty roommate anywhere. Has he already walked off first before him? Oh, Kaveh’s going to give him a piece of his mind when he finally finds him.
However, instead of recognizing the name, the Matra tilts his head.
“M-Mister Kaveh… Who’s Al-Haitham?”
Or, Al-Haitham gets stuck in the past due to a rogue scientist and Kaveh goes back in time to save him, only to fall in love with an Al-Haitham he doesn’t know.
