“Uhm,” he starts, but doesn’t know where his tongue wants to go with that. He should close the door and try to sleep; jet lag will be a pain in the ass this way, he knows it, but there’s something at the front of his brain that’s saying otherwise. The fuzziness around his limbs is clearing, and he feels sharper, less tired than before.
“Well, uhm, do you wanna come in?”
Pecco’s face does some contorting at that; it goes from distracted, to puzzled to surprised really quickly, like he was not expecting Marc to say that, at all. Which is also true from Marc’s part.
“Sure, why not,” the other finally concedes, shrugging his shoulders. -

Salvo sperava che il solo sguardo di puro disprezzo che stava rivolgendo a Mimì valesse più di mille parole, eppure l’altro lo guardava senza un minimo di cedimento, quasi ansioso di una risposta da parte del commissario, quasi come se stessero avendo veramente quella conversazione. Con un sospiro così intenso che fece sollevare qualche carta dalla scrivania, Salvo finalmente cedette.
“E che cosa suggeriresti, tu, di grazia?”
“Ovviamente io, commissario Montalbano.”
Mimì aveva indicato se stesso con tutte e due le mani piegate sul petto, mentre rideva malizioso tra sé e sé, consapevole di un segreto che solo lui conosceva. Di tutto rimando, Salvo aggrottò le sopracciglia.
“Spiegastiti meglio, cornuto.”
“Ma ti insegno a abballari io, Salvo! Quannu ero all’università, a Palermo, haju canusciutu 'na ballerina ri danza classica chi nun po' capìri; tutto sapeva fari, tutto.”
“Pure in verticale, o solo in orizzontale, stavate a ballari?”
Or, Mimì insegna a Salvo a ballare in vista del matrimonio

Wilson nods, again, like he hadn't just admitted to something shattering, something that probably affects him every single day. Shit, House feels really bad now.

WARNING: While the rape in this fic is off-camera, I did include a few details about it that might be triggery so please, PLEASE, don't read if this if this is not your thing. I did keep the details to a minimum because I really wanted this to be about recovery and friendship. I rated it explicit just because of the subject matter and medical details.
"Wilson was beside himself with relief. The world had been lifted from his shoulders as he was permitted, without repercussions to leave the ER. He side-stepped away and fell in line, walking with House down the hall. His relief was, however, short-lived as he saw the tight-lipped smile and the look of concern on his friend’s face. Now he had to convince House he was okay."
This is a deep-friendship to pre-slash story. There are lots of medical details in the beginning and lots of emotional times throughout. I think it probably can be construed as OOC for House but that's just because he has to adapt to take care of Wilson.
