Summary
After an extended medical leave, Lieutenant Commander Eli Vanto returns to the Chimaera with the goal to support Grand Admiral Thrawn in the fight against rebel insurgents on Lothal. Their reunion must wait, however, as Eli quickly finds himself captured by the rebels and thrust into a conflict much bigger than he had ever anticipated.
Set at the end of season 3, sometime after episode 17. (Through Imperial Eyes) but before the finale – Thrawn knows that Kallus is Fulcrum, but hasn’t called him out on it yet. Eli hasnt been sent to the Chiss.

this is one of (if not) the best star wars ao3 content i've consumed. the characterization while crack still remains in line with how each character would act.
the writing styles didn't conflict at all when reading and it all felt very cohesive.the roadtrip was amazing. i particularly loved the pit stop to Burger King.
seeing all the little cameos of other star wars characters was an absolute joy to read.
(hi cal and merrin lol)the ending too with luke standing up to palpatine was so heart-warming as well (and vader wrecking clovis was a joy to read)
RIP thrawn's tie defender project
the power play between krennic and tarkin was hilarious as well (and also ronan being a walking simp too)this entire fic had me dying of laughter and i'll definitely be re-reading this one.
