They’ve been carrying on like this for a little while now. Sometimes it’s more romantic, late evenings warmed by the glow of Rolan’s magic and by whatever fine vintage he’s salvaged from the tower, as they speak about their respective work. Sometimes it’s this, Rolan appearing at the forge with this needy look of desperation in his eyes, tension stiff in his bearing, frustrated by his labors and in need of some release . . .
