Raine’s body spasmed and the Collector’s hold over them finally broke. Their body reverted back to flesh. A moment of relief— but Belos was still there, the green sludge still inside them, leaking from their eyes as Raine squeezed them shut. “Let— me— go!”
Though the voice was Raine’s own, their body punctuated each word by flinging them around. They slammed against a wall and something cracked. Raine screamed. They were thrown to the ground and flung out their arms just in time to land on their hands and knees. Make it stop make it stop— they were still a puppet— why won’t it stop? Green sludge dripped from their mouth. They wanted to cough it all out but their ribs ached with even the motion of their heaving breaths. They wanted to cry but only sludge would come from their eyes.

Eda knows when she hears Raines alive and in the Conformotoroun. She has to go break them out.
That turns out to be the easy part. Fixing the damage Belos has caused is hard. Not if anything brought on by it requires a trip down memory lane.
OR
Me taking a stab at how maybe the mind control works. That I 100 percent expect to be not near canon accurate.

Not every relationship Eda had post Raine was good. In fact most weren’t. But some were definitely worse than others as Raine finds out post getting broken out of the Conformotorium.
Or
Headcanon idea I have that won’t entirely leave me alone that Eda has an ex that probably made some sort of negative comment about the Owl Beast.

'Eda didn’t know what she was expecting when it was all over, really.
However, she did know that she most certainly was not expecting the moon to move and end the eclipse before the draining spell was over.
She had no idea how it had happened and no idea why, but she did know that it meant that her Rainestorm was safe, and so many other innocent witches on the Boiling Isles hadn’t had to suffer because of Belos’s selfish plans.
Her first thoughts were of Luz, she hoped the human was somewhere safe through all this. She’d go out and find her when she had the energy in her to do so.
She used her one remaining hand to pull Raine closer to her, resting their head on her chest. She was never going to let them go again, not this time.'
