    Fate is a funny thing.

    Jecki Lon dreams of stars, at night, until she doesn't anymore.
    She feels things that aren't real, sees things that haven't happened, hears things that are impossible -- and immediately forgets them again.

    (Red burns through her chest, one, two, three times.)

     

    Fate is a cruel thing.

    Jecki Lon is everything she needs to be to become a great Jedi one day.
    She's intelligent and watches the world with observing eyes, feels the Force deep in her heart -- and follows light and life, in every way she can.

     

    It doesn't save her.

    (Aka the author intended to write a small angst OneShot about Jecki feeling as if she's Master Sols less-favourite daughter, but then episode 5 happened and I thought to myself 'fuck that' and from there it kind of escalated.)
