Summary
“No one’s asked me for a story in quite some time," said Mr. Payne.
“Well, tell me one, then,” said Charles, swinging his legs at the counter.
“Very well,” said the old man. “How do you feel about mysteries?”

Summary
regulus was undoubtedly a sap, and okay he blames it on getting caught up with the melodramatic aerostatic Victorian lifestyle, and maybe a lot. and i mean a lot of opium, but a sap none the less. So, when his old love letters get unearthed from this sappy ear and are shown in a museum, he would rather fake his death again then face the outcome.
James Potter fell in love as a child and with a man when doing so was a punishable offence, when all you were supposed to think about was war and wives. Fell in love with his best friend's brother, fell so deeply that he broke every rule of vampirism, and turned the two black brothers to save them from death at the battlefield. So, when he sees the old love letters the man of his dreams wrote and never sent, suffice to say that his brain short-circuited.Bookmarked by persephonefae
