Summary
That glow is gone, now. Gone from Dick’s skin, gone from inside him. It used to shine out of him, out of all the cracks the world put in him. But now Bruce looks down at him, and he is as dark and cold as a snuffed star. That’s what gets to him the most—not how cold the morgue is under its colorless fluorescent lighting, or the cloying smell of formaldehyde that clogs his throat. It’s how still Dick is, on the cold, sterile surface of the examiner’s table. It’s unnatural. The boy never learned how to sit still.
---
On a dewy Sunday morning in April, Dick Grayson, trust fund baby and local celebrity, is found dead at the tender age of 25. His abrupt passing sends his hometown, the sleepy beach town of Gotham, into a tizzy--and his former guardian, old money stalwart Bruce Wayne, reeling. But as Bruce struggles to come to terms with his ward's death, it rapidly becomes clearer and clearer to him that there's something off with this tragedy--no, this "town"--no, this entire reality...

Summary
When Jason was Robin, he only saw Dick Grayson as the perfect asshole who put all the other sidekicks to shame, the golden boy who could do no wrong. And then he came back, and he was so broken that Dick, the Bat’s chosen heir, seemed mockingly whole in comparison. But now he’s an adult, with his own team and operations and purpose, and Dick isn’t the untouchable idol, too high for him to reach and too good for him to tarnish. Dick is a teenager getting drunk alone in a bar—which makes Jason the stable one.
Which is an unsettling a realization as Jason’s ever had.
---
When the Ric Grayson situation reaches critical mass, Tim sends Jason back in time to piece Dick's memories back together.

Summary
“What about this? Me?” His voice drops, low, but even now there’s the bite underneath, the bitter tinge of resentment that comes from already anticipating a rejection. It tips Slade off to the fact that Dick is in far worse shape than he assumed—the man he knows, the one he’s spent the better part of the past decade with in an equally infuriating and invigorating dance, would never be so desperate. Or so clumsy. “I’m asking you to. Is that a good enough reason?”

Summary
If Jonathan Storm was the movie star Betty said he was, he looked the part: Hair like spun gold in perfect curls atop slender features, with eyes bluer than the Hudson in midsummer. “Normally I’d ask what a dame like you is doing in a place like this, but”—Peter cast a glance up his guest—“you’re not exactly a dame, are you?”
Storm flashed a weak smile. “I can be, if you want.”
Peter raised an eyebrow. Storm turned beet-red.
“I mean. I’m. I didn’t mean that.” Storm huffed and shoved out a hand. “Johnny Storm.”

It's 1933, Peter Parker has just shut down a Nazi eugenist and lost one of his oldest friends, and life in the big city is as joyless and hardscrabble as ever. Then Johnny Storm, movie star with a soul made of sunshine, walks through Peter's door, asking for his help. The rest, as they say, is history.

Summary
Dick is different when he comes back from Milwaukee: Quiet, distant, his usual laser-sharp focus just a step out of phase. Usually he reacts to new developments faster than the others can even pick up on them, but now it’s like he’s lagging, his mind a million miles away. Rachel smells the hurt on him the second he walks through the door of the safehouse.

Summary
M leans over to smirk in Dick’s space. “So. This was where you ran off to after the gala, huh?”
“What?” Dick burrows down into his seat. “No. That was—”
“It’s alright, Grayson,” M says. “You don’t have to explain anything to me.”
“And you certainly don’t have to explain that,” Helena purrs, burgundy lips curling in appreciation. Dick looks up to Jason striding onto the stage, his signature red baseball cap pulled low over his eyes. His jacket and hoodie are gone, leaving him in a simple gray t-shirt and well-fitting black joggers. Dick swallows and tries to disappear into the velvet cushions. “Well done, Grayson.”

Summary
If Jason is a ghost, then Dick is a supernatural force all his own, one that tears worlds apart in search of better ones.
---
As a side effect of coming back from the dead, Jason is a bona fide paranormal phenomenon. Dick seems to be a little too caught up in mooning after him to notice. Their siblings aren't amused.
(Or, Jason is a supernatural presence after his resurrection, but the poor fool in love with him thinks the freaky feelings are just the butterflies in his stomach.)

Dick’s mouth is dry. He doesn’t know why he’s so shocked. It isn’t like he didn’t know that Slade is a contract mercenary. A killer, to the fullest extent of the word. It’s just that—while Slade might have been the bane of his existence when he first struck out as Nightwing, recently…Dick can count more times that Slade’s helped him than hurt him. And he thought Slade was better than this.

“Uh—yeah.” Dick coughs. “The, y’know—dance scene.”
Jason barks out a laugh. “Are you talking about that acrobatics shit you do?”
“Um. That counts, doesn’t it?”
Jason breaks into a full-blown smirk, eyes gleaming with poorly restrained amusement, and despite knowing that he’s being typecast as the dumb rich performer as they speak, Dick finds himself caring a little less than he should. “You know it doesn’t.”
Dick considers him for a moment—the sly curve of his mouth, the look in his eyes—and makes a decision. He grins, bold and uncaring. “Then show me what does.”

“Hey,” Jason greets him, head tilted. “Have we met before?”
