Summary
Caitlyn bites her lip, brows pulling together. “You didn't have to do that, you know,” she mutters, fingers reaching to tug at the front of Vi’s shirt, eyes downcast.
“I wanted to,” Vi admits, this swelling in her chest telling her that she means it.
“Why?”
Vi takes a breath as she lifts a hand to brush back a loose strand of hair. She shrugs a shoulder. “Would you believe me if I said I don't know?”
“No, but I can pretend to, if you'd like,” Caitlyn says around a chuckle. Caitlyn’s knees suddenly tighten around Vi’s hips so she staggers forward, her hands automatically pulling Caitlyn closer, her hands hooking underneath her knees to pull her closer to the edge, earning her a gasp. Her hands trail up her legs, and Vi’s stomach swoops as Caitlyn’s eyes flicker to her lips, Caitlyn’s hands settling on her hips, her thumbs hooking underneath the bands of her shorts.
Okay, maybe we can be friends, Vi thinks, a breath getting caught in her throat as she leans forward.

Summary
It takes a moment for her to notice it, that someone is humming. Caitlyn approaches the corner that hides the showers, sees steam clouding its way out of the farthest stall to the left. She debates leaving, to just stomach the ride home, home where her mother and father wait for her return. But the thought of running into her mother so soon after today’s match makes her stomach flip and turn into knots. She abandons the idea of going home early altogether and simply settles for sharing the locker room space with someone else.

“What happens when you bite someone,” Eddie murmurs, lips ghosting over Steve’s lips.
“It’s about the same every time I drink directly from the vein. I’m holding someone else's life in my hands.”
Eddie pulls the hem of Steve’s shirt and slips his hands underneath, cold fingers making Steve’s stomach tense with the touch. Steve chases his lips when he pulls away, adores the way the corners of Eddie’s mouth reach for his dimples.
“What?” Steve murmurs in amusement, capturing Eddie’s lips again before giving him a chance to answer. Steve skates his tongue along Eddie’s bottom lip, asking, and Eddie hums contently as he parts his lips in answer.
He slowly pulls away, holding Steve’s gaze with a hand on his cheek, thumb skating lightly along his lips. “What if I told you I want you to hold mine,” he murmurs quietly.
