Summary
Once that's taken care of, Sentinel spins around immediately on his pedes to go squint at indistinct security recordings made with outrageously outdated technology for as long as it takes before the senior security officer determines, his tone far too close to respect for Sentinel's comfort, that the miners came through what was meant to be a cleaning and maintenance shaft which had inadvertently, in its misappropriation, become a tool of conspiracy.
"Primus below," the senior security officer buzzes. "You have to admire the steel on these bots. Maintenance crews only come in during shutdowns when we turn off all the dangerous machinery but they just strolled up in through there, not a care in the world."
"Yes," Sentinel says, "you must acknowledge the sheer temerity."

Sougo was perfectly happy with idling on park benches, terrorizing random civilians, and generally doing his best to fulfill his preordained destiny of World's Greatest Nuisance. His life plans, as always, involved asserting his objective dominance over China, discovering the highest intensity of annoyance Hijikata could muster, and cracking down on the criminals stupid enough to oppose the Shinsengumi.
Despite all their shared history, the glasses kid from the Yorozuya didn't really figure into these life plans. It took surprisingly little for that to begin to change.
