Summary
“Why’d you buy your house, then?” Jamie asks.
Roy sighs. “Because an estate agent told me I should.”
“D’you like it?”
“I hate it,” Roy says heavily, and it’s surprisingly freeing to admit out loud. He sits back in his seat, feeling like an elephant has stepped off his chest.
“So sell it. Buy something you like. Life’s too short, right?” Jamie says, like it’s so easy.
It actually…probably is that easy. In the grand scheme of things. He just needs to ring an estate agent, put his house on the market, and buy a new one. People do it literally every day. Jamie Tartt figured it out, so it can’t be impossible. Fuck.

Summary
Ted’s phone rings. He looks away from the window, where he was watching the tree sway in the wind, to see Beard’s face splashed over his phone screen. He thinks about not answering, but if he doesn’t answer then all he’ll have done today is run to CostCo for no reason. He doesn’t need eight pounds of almonds, but he has eight pounds of almonds.
a.k.a. the post s3 fix-it where Ted does some intense mental healing.
