Following Jinx’s attack on Piltover, Caitlyn and Vi pick up the pieces of their shattered world in the wake of civil war and the threat of a Zaun occupation. Grieving but determined, Caitlyn agrees to team up with Vi once again to bring Jinx to justice, and heal their uncertain relationship.

“I’m terribly sorry I didn’t get to introduce myself personally,” she says to Vi. “I usually like to chat with new members before class starts, but this was an unusual day for me. And you are?”
Vi doesn’t know what possesses her at that moment. Maybe it’s the exhaustion. Maybe it’s the frustration. Maybe it’s the absurdity of the whole situation coupled with the fact that the sheer sight of Caitlyn ties her tongue.
Either way, she huffs out a laugh and says, “Trying not to fuck up.”

Caitlyn, however, feels trapped within the walls of her lifelong seaside home, and all she wants to do is return to Piltover and pretend nothing ever happened.
That is, until she spots an attractive lifeguard from her balcony and decides that some heatwaves are worth braving.
