“Dean.” A creak of the floor as Cas pushes himself to standing. Then the dip of the mattress as Cas settles on the edge of it. His voice is closer when he says, “I’m worried. Please tell me what’s going on.”
Even if he were able to speak, he doesn’t know how he would explain this to Cas. Everything is just so much, and how can he make Cas understand that?—Cas, who created galaxies, who witnessed all of human history from its very beginning, who even now could crumble skyscrapers into dust with one withering look. Dean doesn’t have the strength today to sit up in bed. He doesn’t know how to explain this to a being more powerful than he can possibly comprehend.
“I’m tired,” he says finally.
Even the half-truth is so shameful that it makes tears burn behind his still-shut eyelids.

Summary
“You’re you, kid,” says Dean, quietly. There’s a hint of a smile in his voice. “First ever successful case of de-wolfing.” The smile, stretching onto his face. “You’re gonna be famous.”
The relief hits Claire with a force that staggers her, rolling through her body with its warmth. She cracks a tiny smile of her own. “Cool,” she whispers.
Then, unaccountably, she feels her face crumpling, and her eyes welling with tears.
“Claire?” Dean is at her side instantly, crouching next to the couch. “Are you okay?”
He sounds so concerned. She doesn’t understand why that makes her cry harder.

The apartment was silent as she entered and it didn’t take long to find her brother, sitting frozen at the table. He was in the same clothes she’d seen him in when she’d gotten to the VA hospital, same dirt and blood covered skin and angry looking wounds.
She sucked in a breath at the sight of him and dropped her bags on the floor, making her way over to him and dropping to her knees at his feet. “Oh my god, Evan. Have you been here since yesterday?”
