Summary
It's in the little things, barely perceptible unless Alec pays attention. Magnus' behavior toward him changes slightly. He asks for permission before touching him. He seems to recognize when Alec is stuck, and manages to gently steer him into action. He stops himself mid-sentence to reword his questions in a clearer way.
The first time Alec notices, really sees what Magnus is trying to do, he panics.

Summary
The first time Alec sees a pride parade, he doesn’t know what it is.
It isn’t the big NYC Pride March; it’s a small parade. Or, at least, Alec will eventually realize it’s small for New York.
He never finds out whether the march is completely impromptu or a gathering of a few different neighborhoods or even something else entirely, but on a steamy June day three months before his fourteenth birthday, Alec stands alone, partially hidden in the mouth of a Brooklyn alley, and watches six hundred rainbow-garbed mundanes dance their way through the streets.

Summary
Coda Fic to Never Judge A Shadowhunter By Their Scent written by the delightful Aria Lerendeair.
Selected moments from Isaiah's POV.
~
Lighting the small candle, Isaiah centers it on the altar and stares at the wavering flame for a long moment. For the first time since his wife’s death, Isaiah feels a single tear slip down the crags of his scarred cheek.
He drops heavily to his knees before the altar and looks up towards the silent angel above him, vision blurring.
“Zadkiel,” Isaiah prays, pleads, his voice rough and hoarse, “Angel of mercy and benevolence, I beg you tonight to watch over your child, Alexander Lightwood. He has survived everything the angels have seen fit to test him with, but please, please do not make this night one more thing he has to survive.”
