Then he freezes, because Henry’s naked. Henry only forgoes pajamas for a few very specific reasons—being too exhausted after sex, for one, and when he wants Alex to fuck him in his sleep, for two.

It became a thing.
At first, Alex was hesitant, certain that he was intruding on Henry’s personal space. But Henry didn’t mind. He slept better with Alex by his side, too.
But then Alex started coming into Henry’s bed more frequently; sometimes just when he couldn’t sleep or felt lonely. Or cold. Alex insisted that Henry’s bed was more comfortable and his room was better for sleeping because the bright street light outside Alex’s room was intrusive. Henry’s room faced the courtyard and was therefore darker. Basically, he made all sorts of excuses and Henry started to wonder about Alex’s true motivations…

Summary
He’s not upset when Alex makes the mistake of bringing up Nathan over dinner, emboldened by the wine and still a little bitter about how he’d treated Henry at the Christmas party. It makes Henry pause the fork on its way to his mouth, like he’s surprised Alex had even noticed.
“It wouldn’t do either of us any good to be upset about that,” Henry tells him bluntly. “He’s hardly touched me in two years since he began fucking the landscaper. Would you care for dessert?”
Alex wipes his mouth with his napkin and leans back in his chair, his blood simmering again.
“Rather get the check, I think.”
Henry says “Very well,” with all of the elegance of someone they both know is about to be thoroughly taken apart, pays the bill, and leads Alex up to his hotel room.
