“Were you..” Babe started after a moment, hesitating, as if reconsidering their question as they said it.
“Was I what?” Sam prompted gently, “I’m not gonna get offended by you askin’ questions, so shoot.”
“Were you an intrinsic magic user before being a vampire?” They continued, voice slow despite having been given the okay to ask.
“Yeah.” Sam chuckled, appreciative of their concern for asking about his past, but needlessly so, the wounds healed by time and more akin to a distant memory.

Lasko gets an invitation to the Shaw Pack Double Wedding.
The air elemental sat on the RSVP page for hours before finally hitting submit, reserving the spot for himself and his partner, nerves alight as it sunk in that he would be attending this wedding where he knew no one, was only acquaintances at best with Milo and his mate, at the invitation of the alpha of the largest pack in Dahlia.
Lasko’s primary solace about the event was that his partner would be there, looking radiant as always, standing beside him as they both charted unfamiliar waters.

Fool!Sweetheart invites Fool!Milo over for Halloween. Miscommunications get resolved, Milo Rebane is gentle, kind, and he refuses to admit it.
“Why don’t you both take a long walk back home, ‘kay?” Milo spat the last word, the anger leaving the parent’s face as they turned around, clearly tranced. Annoyed, the kid followed, while the vampire slammed the door, locking the bolt attached to it and harshly flicking the porch lights off.
“You’re done sweet stuff. No more charity for people who don’t deserve it.”

-“Move it hot stuff, we’re on a time crunch.” They replied with a wink, laughing at Asher’s world-weary sigh. While the pair searched for the specified marshmallow spread, they saw a laughing Angel follow behind a visibly annoyed David, ingredients in hand.
