Summary
"I know ok?!" - Izuku screams, he never screams.
Shōto flinches and fights the instinct to cover his ears as he stays put with his back against the bedroom door. Fuyumi frowns with the headphones in his hands, ready to place them over his ear, but for once Shōto wants to know.
"He's not special! He's just-" - the sentence stops, Inko warns him to stop as it often happens and somehow Shōto wishes Izuku wouldn't stop. He needs to hear it, he needs someone to say that word.
"I'm your son, you birthed me, and still I'm never a priority..." - Izuku says and his voice breaks.
It's quieter this time. Shōto opens the door and takes a tentative step outside, not really knowing why: maybe to confront Inko, or maybe to comfort Izuku. The entrance door slams and he's faced with only Inko. She looks at him with so much guilt she might as well just have killed a man.
"I'm sorry..." - she says and Shōto doesn't understand what she's actually sorry about.

Summary
Overwatch's fall from grace mirrored many ancient tales and tragedies, many of them detailing lessons from times long past. Most would have felt common sense or a basic sense of morality could have prevented the outcome. Yet, in its hubris, its deceit, its subsequent self-conflict and immolation, the organization had doomed itself.
Angela Ziegler knew this fully well and had said as much in front of the entire world without hesitation or remorse. Little did she know, she'd damned herself to a lonely fate, haunted by scars from her service among other far deeper wounds. Initially, she'd accepted that outcome... until her time in Cairo forced a change of heart.
