Summary
Kaeya Alberich struggles with himself, especially when the past binds him to things he abhors. Duty and Family— what do they mean to someone with conflicting hopes? His people dream of dreaming, yet it takes a village (and maybe a full town, maybe a nation) to raise a boy, now a man, from ages long ago.

Summary
Kaeya keeps trying over and over and over again.
Whether it's to fix things, relationships, bonds, anything. He's tired of getting shut down every single time.
Maybe...
Maybe he should just give up.

Summary
“It's better than you leaving and doing Archons know what. I can assure your safety here while we solve this.” Diluc matches the sassiness in the others voice, trying to hide his regret.
Kaeya drags a hand down his face, “Right, okay— my safety. Sure.”
OR
Kaeya's abyssal heritage catches up to him, freezing over in his chest. Before he can sit back and let himself die, Diluc and Albedo step in to keep him from destroying himself.

Summary
“I’m going to miss you when you leave,” Kaeya slurs, leaning against Jean’s strong hold on him.
“What are you talking about, Kaeya?” She asks lightly, but her voice confused and concerned.
“Everybody leaves me one way or another,” he laughs brokenly, the alcohol in his system making the truth pour out. “Promise me you’ll give me a proper goodbye, at least, yeah?”
“I’m not going anywhere,” Jean says softly. “I’m here, Kaeya.”
But for how long?
-
Kaeya’s bleeds the anguish of being left behind over and over and over again. A sane man would let the cut scar and fade.
He pries the wound open with the knife, letting the blood spill to the floor.
