Yagami smiled wryly. “I’m also sitting in Tojo HQ talking to one of the most senior yakuza in the country.”
Saejima’s lips quirked upwards. “Now you’re just flatterin’ me. ’Sides, you’re here fer a better reason than most.”
The smile slipped off Yagami’s face as quickly as it had come. “I don’t know if I’d call this better.”

Ah, that explained it.
“Night owls, I’ve got some great songs waiting to bless your ears, but before that! A reminder!”

“New listeners or those who like to tune out my voice – not many of you, surely! – we’ve been receiving reports of a masked man stalking the Kamurocho streets!” He made an exaggerated shivering noise. “So far, he’s evaded our hard-working police officers, but I’m sure he’ll be caught soon, right guys? Right!?”
Kiryu sighed. Couldn’t people give this town a break?

Joongi ducks down and flicks his tongue out over Ichiban’s lower lip, the metal of his piercing a new but definitely not unpleasant experience.
“Is that enough for you to tell how it feels?” Joongi teases.
Ichiban rests the palm of his hand against Joongi’s back to draw him in closer, gratified by the little hitch in his breath he gets in response.
“You know it’s not,” he says lowly, and presses their mouths together.

Somewhat inevitably, it’s Zhao.
“I know I was.”
“Me too,” Saeko admits.
“I was also curious...” Eri offers quietly.
Joongi nods and chimes in with a, “so was I.”
“Horny bastards, the lot of you,” Adachi teases. Loops an arm around the back of Ichiban’s shoulders like he’s putting on the moves at a hostess club and trying to be smooth about it; Ichiban thinks it’s kind of charming. “Me included, obviously.”
“Obviously.”

“I’m sayin’ you’ve looked better.” Kaito grinned broadly. “That a yes?”
“24 hours. But not a minute more,” Yagami warned before he could get too excited.

Summary
Dojima Daigo was a peculiar man. Though he was made of flesh and blood, he surrounded himself with works of artifice. His workshop was piled with boxes of assorted bits and bobs, brass and bronze, an horologist’s dream. Daigo often awoke to the chirping of mechanical canaries he had lovingly assembled with his own two hands, the roar of airships passing by their tower in the sky. He wanted for nothing—he had a clockwork doll to pour his tea, a walking ottoman to fetch his clothes, a cogwheel cart to haul his tools, and a refurbished entertainment karakuri for everything else. This last one was quite dear to him.
