Summary
Following the destruction of Vulcan, it's people are in turmoil including the Enterprise’s First Officer Spock.
Stuck drifting in space for a month with the Vulcan leadership and mostly grieving children, the Crew of the USS Enterprise is left to help piece together the remains of Earth's greatest ally.
Through hardship one learns who truly cares and for Vulcan that is finding themselves surrounded by the compassion of a group of cadets led by Spock's greatest annoyance and greatest love.

An academy AU Tarsus aftermath fic in which James T. Kirk ends up accidentally parentally bonded to an orphaned Vulcan child. When the father/daughter duo enroll in Star Fleet, hijinks ensue (mostly at the expense of Spock’s previously immaculate but quickly deteriorating self-control).
