Summary
“What’s so funny?” Lance asks. He tries to keep the bitterness out of his voice, but the irritation seeps in anyways, and Keith quickly sobers up.
“Sorry. I didn’t mean to laugh. It’s just…” He ducks his head and crosses his arms across his chest, and Lance realizes with a pang of guilt that Keith is nervous. “When I asked Shiro for money earlier, he asked me if this was a date.”
///
Or: Lance and Keith have just finished saving the universe, so they decide to spend some time together on Earth. It is definitely not a date.

Summary
Boots wants to ask him what he means. She wants to ask why the grate in the laundry room is boarded up. She wants to ask why he saves the roaches in their apartment instead of killing them, and why it’s a habit that she’s picked up on, too. She wants to ask about the nightmares. She wants to ask why he makes clicking noises when the power goes out. She wants to ask why he looks up at the night sky, at the bats that fly in front of the moon. She wants to ask about the scars that mark his skin, scars that have been there for as long as she can remember, as if by destiny.
///
Or: Boots is growing up, clinging to the few memories she has from her time in the Underland, and has a big realization: She's not ready to say goodbye.

Summary
Looking at Gregor now, Ares feels a violent pang of despair in his chest. How could it be that this young boy is to die within the hour? His bond, the only bond who has ever truly been there for him? The bat decides then and there that not only is the Prophecy of Time not to be believed, but that he will do anything to prevent its unfolding. It is of this one thing that Ares is certain: The Warrior will not die tonight.
///
Or: Gregor and Ares discuss their wavering faith in the prophecies of Sandwich, and Ares makes a choice. (An existing scene from "Gregor and the Code of Claw" but from Ares' perspective.)

Summary
Lizzie isn’t sure when exactly she decides that it’s the word, specifically, that she has a problem with. Princess. She can unscramble the letters in any way she likes, but eventually, she has to accept that nothing brings her more relief than dropping the last two letters of the word altogether.
///
Or: Lizzie and Gregor reflect on prophecies and identity.
