Gon gets hit with a mysterious Nen ability that inexplicably makes him fall in love with Killua. He doesn't mean any of it, of course. It's entirely artificial. It has to be. As if he would ever actually have feelings for Killua.

Palm never shows up for their date, so Gon decides to take Killua out instead.
(Or, a morning at the aquarium, an afternoon in town, and an evening by the lake: normal things Killua’s never experienced, normal things made somehow special when shared with someone else. But reminders of their reality loom heavy all around them, and Killua finds himself torn between his head and his heart—especially when something that should’ve meant nothing begins to mean a whole lot. Especially when a voice in his mind starts telling him to “run away,” and it’s not from an enemy this time.)

Summary
Takes place in the days they gloss over during chimera ant arc when Gon still couldn't use his nen from his fight with Knuckle and after the... *shivers* Palm date episode. Canon compliant except for maybe they wouldn't be so chipper when the ants are destroying the world and they're powerless to stop it but don't worry about that.
Killua's jealous that Gon took Palm on a date before taking him on a date, so Gon plans him the best date ever, even if Killua's idea of the best date ever is any date that happens to be with Gon.
