Bucky cleared his throat nervously. He couldn't believe he was about to follow a ghost bird to God-knows-where in Stark Tower—and that's assuming the bird didn't get him caught and dragged out by security, walk through a wall and lose him, or fly right out the front doors and into Bucky's death by oncoming traffic.
For Bucky to keep the government from discovering he'd become a Sentinel—and ruining his life accordingly—he could not afford to get caught trespassing in Stark Tower.
He did it anyway.

Above them, Tony's televised run for his life filled a giant theater screen. Bucky pointed at it. "Put me in there."
Or: When Hydra frames Bucky's husband, Tony, for treason, and forces him to run for his life on their hit TV show Hydra's Running Man, Bucky decides rescuing his husband is the perfect opportunity to show Hydra what treason really looks like.

Summary
When Bucky Barnes comes in from the cold and settles in Avengers Tower, SHIELD fears his split personality, Winter, is a Hydra loyalist—which couldn't be further from the truth.
Winter is actually an alien symbiote Hydra forced into Bucky's body. Winter has loved Bucky since Azzano, suffered with him at Hydra's hands, and Winter alone retained the memory of Bucky's identity and their relationship after each painful memory wipe. Now that they've escaped, Bucky and Winter just want the freedom to enjoy being safe, happy, and in love.
When "in love" comes to include devoted couple Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, Bucky and Winter will need to open up about what Winter really is, what Bucky has become, and what the two of them can do together.

Cute! Eddie gets got by his own protective instincts, and winds up liking Steve as a person, not just a hot guy—at which point he then gets got by Steve, to the happiness of both.
Side note: I love the Party as supporting cast here! They’re as aggressive and obnoxious and sweet and devoted as they are in canon, demonstrating why Steve and Eddie (and I!) adore them even when they’re being pushy and frustrating. They feel like themselves—they feel real—so despite being the plot device forcing Steddie into proximity, they never feel that way.
Further side-notes: I love the author’s end notes detailing their background headcanons for this fic!
