“You know Jaehyun would never spy on us, right?” Ten asks, eyeing Doyoung out of the corner of his eye as they trudge up the stairs to their floor.
Doyoung chooses not to answer. It’s the principal of the matter, really. He can’t even really recall how the rivalry started, he just knows that it persists and he cannot let it die, even if Jaehyun, too nice for his own good, refuses to participate.
At the start of every year, Doyoung sets some ground rules for his group. Obviously he can’t tell people who they can and can’t be friends with, but no matter how close some of his members are with them, rule number one is no Acafellas in the practice room. Rule number two is, as long as you’re part of the group, you cannot date an Acafella. Personally, Doyoung can’t see why anyone would want to willingly pair themselves with someone who chose to join a group called the Acafellas, but to each his own.

“Doyoung!” Mrs. Lee yells. Doyoung chances a look up at the familiar voice, then balks as he sees the big group that’s amassed around his stand.
“What is it? Is everything alright?” Doyoung hurries around to the front of his stand, placing his hands on the older woman’s shoulders.
“That was Jung Jaehyun! He came to your stand!” Mrs. Lee cries, throwing her hands in the air in excitement. The crowd around him murmurs, eyeing Doyoung in curiosity.
“Who?” Doyoung asks, perplexed.
Alternatively: Doyoung, a poor fisherman who only knows the sea and his little brother, catches the eye of a dimpled pianist. Chaos, pining, and love ensues.
