The idea sticks with Jean all the way up to his training days in the military. He was a jaded, asshole of a teen who took the militant lifestyle to heart and tried to be strong. Even when the training days grew heavy and tiresome, he put on a façade. His bunkmate, Marco Bott, can see right through him though, making his tough guy act harder to keep up. Marco knows just what he needs.
