"Like most students in his program at Tulane, Louis dreamed of one day winning a Pulitzer, or at least an American Photography Award. Instead, he’s spent the decade since graduation selling pictures of stop signs and fence posts to stock photo sites, dabbling in family photography when times get really rough. He was surprised when someone contacted him through his website with an offer of work for a “magazine article or maybe biography” of an unnamed celebrity. It was something different. More importantly, the money was great, more than he could make in years of stock photo sales. Louis accepted quickly. It wasn't until they flew him to LA and made him sign an NDA that Louis was told the name of the star he was to photograph."

Louis was not feeling especially charitable towards him at the moment, so as far as true love’s kiss went (a cliche, as if getting cursed wasn't bad enough), Lestat would be getting nowhere.
But it didn’t matter at all. Lestat was scared and miserable and he had a tail and he needed to see him.
Lestat gets on the bad side of a witch. Louis, against his better judgement, gets a cat.
