Summary
Katsuki relives his childhood memories with Izuku in the form of dreams after the nerd in question saved him from the sludge villain. The frequent reminders of their childhood together slowly forces him to realize that he'd be willing to sacrifice himself to protect one of the only constants in his life.
Izuku however, has reoccurring nightmares of losing Katsuki, and concludes that life without him is nearly unimaginable. That makes him realize that he'd be willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the other sticks around, even if he has to put his own life at risk.
Unable to communicate their feelings, they gift each other flowers occasionally in hopes that the other will understand how they feel without having to say the quiet part out loud.

Inside his own chest, everything burns as his heart pounds so hard, it feels like it’s trying to escape his ribcage. He places his hand over where it beats.
Take it easy, Katsuki tries to tell himself, just like the doctors did. Even though he knows this has been a losing battle for some time now.

As a self-described supernatural journalist, Izuku had learned to temper his expectations. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe, but the simple truth was that most paranormal allegations fell apart under scrutiny, and he had no reason to think this would be any different.
Until he met Katsuki, at least.
“Don’t do it,” he told him, the way you’d beg someone not to jump off a cliff. “I’m not an idiot, Deku. I know why you’re here.” He leaned in close. “You’re looking for Cantor’s Road. And I’m telling you right now—if you find it, you’re gonna wish you hadn’t.”
How quaint it was for Izuku to realize only after he arrived: he should have listened to Katsuki.

She thinks about lying, for a moment. Bakugou isn’t the type she normally has heart-to-hearts with. They’re not exactly friends, even if they do hang out more now that Deku and Bakugou had patched things up. Their relationship is mostly bickering and sparring.
Maybe it’s the fact that he apologized to her, or maybe it’s that he looks almost vulnerable in the moonlight, or maybe it’s just that she really, really needs someone to talk to, but she can’t bring herself to lie.
“I kissed Deku today, and I don’t think I liked it.”
