The problem is that Sam couldn’t have known that he would be pulled so deep into this. What makes it all so much more complicated is that he can see in Jacob’s eyes that whatever this is affects him just as much. Or perhaps it’s just Sam projecting his feelings on to Jacob, seeing things where they don’t exist; where they surely can’t exist.
Or: Sam tries to push down what he feels towards Jacob. Both of them struggle with it.

Sometimes he’ll watch ones with the other cast members as well, but never ones without Sam. Every awkward moment. Every fumbling answer. To be fair, Alex has only just met Pez, who June met and she and Nora hit it off with when June did a profile on Pez and the philanthropy work he does for HFMW, this huge luxury goods conglomerate. Alex has only just now put together that ‘Pez’s mate Henry’ is Mr. HFMW himself.
