Summary
[In another life, Zuko finds a poster for a missing bison outside Pao’s teashop, dresses himself in black, and resumes his mission with the kind of single-minded focus he hadn’t been able to muster for months.
In this life, Zuko finds a poster for a missing bison, stares at it for a bit with his insides roiling around his heart like a ship caught in a storm, and crumples it up in one hand before tossing it into the trash and going back inside.]
Sometime during late spring in the city of Ba Sing Se, Zuko serves tea (badly), falls in love (maybe), and deals with a chronic illness of the soul.
AU continuation of "Let the City Pull You Under".

Summary
“What’s wrong?” Crowley asks, turning, and his face looks nearly impassive but Aziraphale can see the concern there, the concern that surely must have been there for years and years and years, deserved or not.
“I know what you were asking,” Aziraphale says, and oh, that’s not quite it, is it, it’s not what he means at all.

Summary
[In another life, Jet sees Uncle Iroh firebend his tea at the dock, and he and Zuko don’t speak again until they’re fighting in an alleyway with Zuko clutching swords that aren’t his. In another life, Zuko watches him get dragged away by the Dai Li and feels justified, and then a surge of rage and shame and fear that he can’t quite place, and then he moves on.
In this life, Jet doesn’t see a thing, and Zuko drop-kicks most of his own pride into the gutter in a fit of customer-service-based despair. In this life, Jet keeps calling Zuko “Li” and slinks around the tea shop in the lower ring where Zuko has started working, like he’s a customer.]
Zuko and Jet find themselves meeting more often than not.
Featuring Zuko's multiple morality crises, Jet's unacknowledged trauma, Iroh's devotion to his nephew, and Aang's unfortunate desire to see the good in people.

Summary
“For better or for worse,” Donna promised the Doctor, the day she met him. The day he met her. She could have chosen any number of lines to make the joke, but she’d missed her own wedding, been kidnapped by flippin’ robot Santas, and jumped out of a taxi because this Martian without a name promised he would catch her.
A leap of faith.
Donna Noble didn’t believe in faith, or destiny. At least, not for people like her. But she’d jumped anyway because, because, because –
Because there was a robot Santa driving the taxi.
(She jumped. Time held them in balance. The Doctor caught her. He always would: for better or for worse.)

Or, a character study of Donna Noble, with the Doctor.

Summary
Crowley folded his newspaper and accepted, with grim resignation, that he would have to try and save the world. It wasn’t that he particularly wanted to do it again; the first time had been bad enough and he’d needed an eleven-year-old to do the hard bit. He didn’t feel any kind of great love towards all living things at the moment, or have any heroic feelings. He simply knew that nobody else would do it.
And Aziraphale, who had stumbled his way into the centre of it all, would be trying desperately not to let it happen and failing, because Heaven wouldn’t let him succeed. One more time, and he resolved that it would be the very last time, Crowley would have to fix things for him.
--
Crowley goes on a road trip across America to delay the Second Coming. Aziraphale tries to teach angels about humanity. In between, they talk.Bookmarked by MadSeason (naive_wanderer)
