Summary
Kayn wakes and finds himself to be – in a word – crusty.
Not entirely with actual crust, though there is plenty of that, but crusty in the mind too. His head is swimming like someone took all the hard liquor he'd had last night and funneled it into his brain through his ear or something.
Now there's a thought.
Rhaast's chuckle only makes his headache worse, and he hasn't even opened his eyes yet.

Aphelios stares at him, blinks.
Then laughs. It’s an odd sound, a quiet wheeze as he hunches forward and covers his mouth.
Kayn realises his mouth has been hanging open for the past ten seconds and splutters. “What’s so damn funny?”
Aphelios shakes his head, wiping a tear from the corner of his eye. He raises his hands, “Kayn, I dom. Sett is my bitch.”

“Fuck,” Kojiro mutters, feeling along the wall and trying door handles until he finds one that works. “Hurry. In here.”
He pushes Kaoru through the door first and pulls it shut behind him, expecting a room. Instead, he runs right into Kaoru. The faint purple glow coming off Carla lights up the storage closet that they’ve found themselves in. It’s empty, but it’s cramped. Kojiro is pressed up against Kaoru, chest to chest.
“Shit.”
A police patrol at S leads to Kojiro and Kaoru confronting things that they've been tiptoeing around for months.
