Summary
'Captain Allen.'
It's the android. He looks to assess him, and is surprised by it's appearance; tall, slim, brown eyes. Unintimidating, is the first word that comes to his mind. Calm expression edged with disinterest, suit and tie.
'My name is Connor. I'm the android sent by Cyberlife,' it says, looking straight back at him.
Captain Allen did not need Connor. Until he did.

Summary
Holding his head under water, tugging him out into the middle of the river, swim trunks and bruises and coated in dust from playing soccer in the schoolyard, scraped elbows under the rushing water, kicking each other and forcing him further out, deeper. Just copy me, Rudy, it’s not that hard. Just swim. It’s not deep, I promise.
Not much has changed.
Alejandro has had Rudy his whole life. And suddenly he finds he doesn’t, anymore, as they both struggle to adjust to a new reality of brain damage and small Alaskan fishing towns.

Summary
"“Meine kleine Sonnenblume… See? It even rhymes. Kind of.” König couldn’t fight the little smirk that appeared on his face – he loved teasing the Hungarian, and while he had the man talking, no matter how annoyed he was, it was good enough. He couldn’t have Fender passing out on him, not when they were so close to getting the fuck out of there.
“If I weren’t half-dead, I’d strangle you to death right now.” Fender knew he sounded weak and unsure, but half-hearted threats were the best he could manage – but at least the Austrian’s words were keeping him awake. He knew exactly what König was doing."

Summary
“If you’re gonna stand there admiring your handiwork,” Steve says to the construction paper he’s laying over the hardwood floor, “the least you could do is pitch in.”
Bucky doesn’t move from the shadows of the window frame. But Steve can see in the dark, too. Can see his suppressed smile tick, then reset.
There’s a soft whir as he points at the kitchen island, where the granite countertop is cracked down the middle. Then a Steve-sized hole in the living room drywall.
“That was all you,” he says, before picking up a drop cloth off the floor and covering Steve’s couch.
