    Time has passed Faker by, with nothing but the slow decay of this crumbling temple with an entrance that lies somewhere between footsteps over old bleached bones on dead battlefields to keep him company.

    Perhaps it is Fate. Perhaps he simply gets lucky. But he gets a second chance, now left as something no longer human and something not quite divine enough. It isn't so bad.
