Summary
Vash gets into a fight. Wolfwood intervenes, perhaps not as reluctantly as he would like.
“It was an accident, I swear,” Vash says louder, waving his hands frantically. The man tries to punch again and misses, getting more agitated. Wolfwood is getting annoyed too; contrary to his cool demeanor, he’s fighting the urge to unwrap the Punisher. The urge to safeguard Vash isn’t the part that’s incorrect; it’s the reason why it crops up and beats against Wolfwood’s rib cage that is. He forgets to remind himself that for something as measly as a bar fight, he’s not supposed to care.
Because this is his godforsaken life now. They haven’t defined it but Vash won’t let them be just fuckbuddies either, robbing Wolfwood of the last lie he could have told himself. Attachment hadn’t mattered before to Wolfwood; he could brutally sever a tie as quickly as he made it. But Vash is complicated, and Wolfwood can’t stop watching what he previously considered the inevitable change before his eyes.

Summary
“This is fucking insane,” Wolfwood exhales as he looks at Vash.
“You’re the one coming in and picking a fight,” Vash says, but the petulance in his voice seems diluted. It’s fair. Wolfwood doesn’t need to be a voice of reason either. “And making me hit you.”
He’s right, but Wolfwood doesn’t want him to be. Wolfwood wants too many things in the moment to pay attention to that though, and all those things are centered around Vash the Stampede.
“You wanna do it again?” Wolfwood says, his mind spinning so fast that he feels like steam will come out of his ears. He’s more acutely aware than ever that Vash is shirtless; there’s a growing desire within Wolfwood to see how it would feel to find his sensitive spots with his tongue.
“What?” Vash blinks, and Wolfwood digs his fingers into his jaw. “Punch you or kiss you?”

Summary
“Ah hey now… Aren’t you always asking me to tell you more stories?” Vash defends himself, and Wolfwood chokes on smoke during his inhale. Rude bastard, using his tactics against him. He doesn’t ask because he wants to be entertained damnit. Time to fluster him back then, Wolfwood concludes. He reaches behind himself and manages to shut the door, and the entire room goes silent as the sound from the downstairs casino gets muffled.
“Other stories, Vash,” Wolfwood kicks his boot again, and Vash nudges back with a playful smile, head still tilted. He looks innocent, cheeks flushed... he smiles sweetly when he understands the kick is an inquiry for a different tale.
“Like what?” Vash can indulge. Wolfwood is one of the few he bothers telling his past experiences to anyway. What could Wolfwood ask that he wouldn’t feel comfortable telling him at this point?
“How was your first time?”

He hadn’t breathed a word of it, and yet he felt like somehow Soap knew. Not the details, those were covered in bars of black ink in an unmarked file. But it was like Soap could tell that there was some hulking specter of a nightmare that followed Ghost down the stairs that he desperately wanted to pretend wasn’t there

Summary
Three days before November 21st, 2024, Simon Riley receives an email.
Someone by the moniker of 'Your Saving Grace' insists that they be in contact with Simon. They shouldn't have his information-- and they certainly shouldn't know about the rather unprecedented way that Captain Price took care of a certain General Shepherd. It's a risk to stay in contact, but one that Simon has to take for the safety of his remaining teammates. Maybe his motives are more selfish than he'd like to admit, because Saving Grace's proposition allows for one hell of an emotionally cathartic opportunity to avenge Johnny-- and there's something about them that keeps him talking to them that he can't quite put a finger on.
