Summary
[AU; KaiJou Summer Event 2024] Katsuya blinked for a moment. He was unused to his co-star ever speaking to him, really: the past few weeks had been a lot of Seto pledging his undying love to him amidst towering key lights and cameras, only to storm off to his trailer the very moment a scene wrapped. Away from all the set paps and endless ADs, prodding and fussing with their clipboards and palpable anxieties, Seto was a taciturn and brooding man: rude and rather brittle when addressed, especially by Katsuya, whose low esteem he made obvious to anyone who would spare a glance or an ear. His behaviour was completely hot and cold: tearful love confessions one moment, and contempt the very next. But Katsuya supposed that’s why they were in the business of acting.

Jou and Seto are begrudging co stars in the next hot romance movie of the summer. Their respective careers are riding on a script that seemingly no one can decipher. Here’s hoping they can wrap this mess of a love story without too much trouble. A violet flick. Comedy/Romance, rated for language, hyperbole and smooches ( ˘ ³˘)♥

Bookmarker's Notes
Impeccably written. Probably one of my favourite depictions of Seto in a fic. It’s a brutal story though (please heed the author tags). 10/10.

Summary
The word “Monster” is derived from the Latin noun monstrum, “divine portent,” itself formed on the root of the verb monere, “to warn.” It came to refer to living things of anomalous shape or structure, or to fabulous creatures like the dragon who were composed of strikingly incongruous parts, because the ancients considered the appearance of such beings to be a sign of some impending supernatural event. Monsters, like angels, functioned as messengers and heralds of the extraordinary. They served to announce impending revelation, saying, in effect,
"Pay attention; something of profound importance is happening."
