“It’s not your virtue we’re worried about,” Ainosuke says. “It’s just unclear if you’re seeing things that aren’t there.” And isn’t it unfair, how much they care about him? So what if he’s been burned by what he thought was love in the past. This was different. This time there’s hope. Can’t they see that?
Kaoru reaches out one of his strong hands and grips his shoulder, just on the side of too tight. “We just don’t want you to get hurt, again.” He shakes him to hammer his point home.
“Just go to the flower shop,” Kojiro insists. “Ask for Tadashi. Prove me wrong.”Or: Everyone falls in love with Tadashi, a little bit.
