Jayce feels his face flush until he's uncomfortably hot. He sputters and fumbles around his words, looking anywhere except Viktor. "I don't—I mean, it's—I'm not—"
"Heimerdinger put you up to this," Viktor concludes, lips turning up with a smirk. Jayce isn't sure whether to weep from relief or shout in frustration. Apparently Viktor takes his confused silence as confirmation. "One of his many attempts to get me out of the lab. I just never expected him to make you do his dirty work."
Jayce hopes Heimerdinger is a very forgiving yordle, because he's not about to correct Viktor's assumption. He simply holds up the intricate (expensive) regalia—woven out of pure gold and crimson threads—and asks: "Is that a yes then?"
Or, Jayce is still a student at the Academy, Viktor is the teaching assistant his peers pine after, and they've been dancing around each other for far too long. With some help, Jayce makes his intentions clear to anyone with a pair of eyes and lick of sense. Well, anyone except Viktor apparently.
