I started writing fanfic around 1970 and have been posting fanfic, first as pipenerd and then as mizstorge, since 2007.
As mizstorge, I was the founder/maintainer of team_darklord, a community at LiveJournal/InsaneJournal, and active in the forums at Fiction Alley Park as pipenerd. As mizstorge, I was also a co-maintainer of the LiveJournal Rivers of London community founded by exposeyou. I've written for the Good Omens Lexicon under a totally different pseudonym. As pipenerd, I still have fic posted at ff.net.
My most popular fan work is "The Places Fandom Dwells: A Cautionary Tale" about the fandom flight from LiveJournal and the subsequent issues of attempted fandom censorship at DreamWidth and Tumblr. It has more than 13k notes at (tumblr); someone archived an early version at Wayback Machine and an entry was posted about it at Fanlore.
