It is necessary for the Moriyama's to break Neil in order to mold them into who they want him to be- Nathaniel Wesninski. But every day Neil spends at Evermore, Jean sees him turning more and more into the feral fox that he is- Neil Josten. The blood and pain that Jean has to bear witness to may just make him bite the hand that feeds him.
