Giyuu's heart stopped beating, was this Sanemi's way of asking him to come? Should he say yes?
"I don't know, are you?" Sanemi just laughed at his response, leaving a slightly confused Giyuu. He didn't say anything else, not very good at picking up social cues. Ever since he made his first friend, he was aware how non-sociable he was. Sabito was the one to tell him straight up, bringing up their very awkward first impressions. Giyuu had said something way too specific for it not to be creepy, but Sabito was also an odd kid so he just simply ignored it and started hanging out with the others. They had been best friends since, but they both decided to go to different colleges.
"Yeah, I go every year." Sanemi pulled him from his thoughts. "You should come."

Summary
It’s one of their rituals. Yuji passes Megumi and taps him as he goes. Megumi knocks on the front door of the Itadori house three times before entering even though it’s always unlocked for him. These simple things, born of years of knowing one another, never fail to ground him.
And, he thinks, as he sees Toji’s ugly car amble by – a brown, rusted four-door sedan that looks one wrong turn away from falling apart – he needs grounding now more than ever.
OR, after years of no contact, Toji shows up at the Fushiguro residence. Now, in addition to worrying about his weird feelings for his best friend, Megumi has to choose between becoming his father's son and standing his ground amidst the unknown.
