Summary
“You don’t believe in ghosts?” He asks.
“I guess not.” Todd blinks, “You do?”
“I mean…” Swaying side to side, he considers his answer for a few moments, “I could believe a little less.” He decides on, which means next to nothing. Todd makes a face.
“What?”

Summary
Todd’s hand moves again to his shoulder as the other comes up to rest on the back of his neck, and Neil takes his familiar silent attention as his go ahead to continue, “Why’d you ask me to kiss you? Back in January?”
His smile drops, fondness being traded out for a bone deep confusion, and the sight makes Neil’s own head spin in puzzlement. Glancing quickly off to the side with a confused laugh, Todd only says, “What?”

Neil and Todd, finally, get on the same page despite not realizing they weren't to begin with.

Summary
With a quick survey of the area to ensure they’re truly alone, he punctuates it with a swift kiss that makes Todd chuckle before he puts the bar back. His lips are particularly chapped today, and he can’t tell if it’s from the dry heat or a lack of water. Frankly, it could be both. He’ll have to make sure to offer him a glass of water later, regardless. Todd adjusts the collar of his shirt, wiping away a line of sweat from his hairline, and Neil exits his space with a stretch that makes his back pop.

Summary
“That’s just Neil’s friend Todd.” She says simply, and though she isn’t facing her freshman counterpart, the confused sound she makes is loud and clear. Ginny almost laughs, but she’s old enough to know that would be pretty rude.
“Alright, but who’s Todd?” She asks. In lieu of saying anything Ginny goes to call out to him, but, predictably, Neil runs up to him down the main aisle and begins dragging him backstage before she can. [ . . . ] She huffs, though she should have seen that coming, and turns back to Amelia as they disappear into the wings. When she goes to give her an answer, she's more than a little shocked to find that she doesn't actually have one.

Summary
“What if we fake our deaths?” Todd says into his shirt through a yawn, eyes shut once more, “We can move to Canada and live together in an apartment, or something. No more exams for the rest of our lives.”
“I thought you hated Canada.” He says, because he doesn’t think he could protest living with Todd in an apartment for the rest of his life if he tried.

The moonlight shines and mixes, silver and gold, with the lamps alight on our desks.
Bronze your face shines, one slant glance and it's burned into memory.
One slant glance is enough to show the adoration on my face and I'm afraid.
Eyes fixed onto paper, equations unsolved, your face, in silver, gold and bronze, overlays.
Todd has an embarrassingly large crush on his friend and roommate, Neil Perry.

Summary
Even Neil Perry, a purely good man though everyone knew him to be, was not spared from the ill-making feelings which made men fume at their own luck, which made them maudlin and spiteful. Even Neil Perry, good man though he was, could not escape the grasping, clutching hands of jealousy.
Or in which Neil finds Todd’s secret notebook of love poetry and is immediately driven mad by his own speculations; Charlie is amused and, while not all-knowing, somehow much smarter than his dumb friend. Todd just wants to know if his bed has eaten his book again.

Summary
“Hey, hey, don’t you have midterms soon? Should you really be getting drunk?” Neil tries his best to tease lightheartedly although he ends up just sounding like Cameron.
“You’re not my mom. I can drink as much as I want,” Todd complains under his breath, rolling his eyes despite the color on his cheeks. From his actions alone, Neil can tell he’s already on the verge of drinking too much.
“No; I’m serious. What’s been up with you tonight?” Neil prods, finally asking about what’s been eating at him rather than keeping up the unaffected act he knew he needed to adopt at some point. He didn’t know what it was about Todd that made him care so much, but he was sick of resisting it tonight.
Rather than making another snarky comment or answering him, Todd merely huffs before worming his way through the crowd and back into the party. Luckily no one in the kitchen was sober enough to pick up on the spat between them, but Neil still feels a persistent heat crawling up his neck as he sees Todd’s dirty blond hair disappear from view.
Or in which something is up with Todd, Neil just can’t seem to let it go, and that’s only the beginning of their problems.

”Sorry, I’m just going to the bathroom.” He replied guiltily, “Go back to sleep.”
Suddenly, the room was lit up by a warm glow. Todd turned around to see that Neil had crawled across the length of his bed, switching his desk light on. His brunette hair was sticking up in all directions, eyes hazy but just aware enough to notice the book in Todd’s hand.
”And the March sisters are keeping you company?”
