Bookmarker's Notes
This story gives me mixed feelings, but I still love it and I'm very glad to have read it! There is a lot of tragedy, but there is also a happy ending. The last arc of the strory involved a very suprising pirate in a big part, but that last arc was great! So much action, friendship and healing!
Cons for me: Very meandering story with tons of flashbacks and flashforwards, a lot of meandering thoughts from the characters, a lot of sex scenes, a lot of tragedy and angst and the beginning was very focused on just the two main characters.
Pros for me: A deep look into both Roci and Doflamingo, the great grammar, all the great side-characters who I grew to love (and great canon characters also), I actually grew to like the romance even if there a lot of issues with it, Roci gets to be a great father!!, Roci is a singer!, the overall plot is great and there is also quite a bit of action.
Thank you for writing this! <3

Summary
The light overhead isn't from Minion island's overcast sky but instead a steel plated ceiling shining down fluorescence, glass and plastic bottles rattling on shelves against the walls. Everywhere there's monitors and familiar machinery and the distinct tang of antiseptic, sharp beyond the memory sense of blood and snow. For half a second Law looks at it all very blankly and thinks, What The Hell. Is he dreaming. Is he hallucinating. Is he just plain dead. His sight-line completes the rotation of this impossibility to fall upon speckled jeans and a long sweeping coat. And the man standing in front of Law has the blankest expression Law's ever seen. And the man standing in front of Law has Law's father's face.
Underneath Law's blood-slicked fingers, Cora-san's pulse shudders.
(This is a story where the past and the present collide. Wherein thirteen year old Trafalgar Law and twenty-six year old Rocinante tumble sideways through time-space via the blue desperation of a newly eaten devil fruit, from Minion island to a future distant. Right, unwittingly, onto the submarine deck of a another Law shortly after Doflamingo’s fall.)

-ch11 Very healing! I even dared to watch some Rocinante clips before reading this, even though it makes me cry instantly. And thankfully this story does help by saving Rocinante!

One of the best Sherlock fanfics out there. And surprisingly this is a complete alternate universe fic. Everything is told from John's perspective and the plot and the romance feel just perfect. They are incredibly satisfying. I also love the mixture of canon characters with different twists and real life people. An impressive piece of literature!
2024 comment from me "Thank you for writing this series! I think this is maybe my third time reading it and it's definitely one of my favourite Sherlock fics because of the Sherlock-John relationship and because of your writing. You make everything feel so real because of your expertise and the whole story feels warm because of how you've wrtitten their relationship. This is one of my comfort stories. <3"

Summary
There is occasionally a certain point one reaches during the attempt to attain a goal where one decides that the goal is just not worth it.
Unfortunately, this also often coincides with being at a point in the attainment of that goal where it’s too damn late and you’re just gonna have to suck it up, buttercup, and get your shit together and do it anyway.
Tim is pretty sure this shit is absolutely not worth it, but it’s too late now and even if it wasn’t, Mama ain’t raise no fuckin’ quitter.
Or:
Tim’s quest to bring Bruce back from his Time-Travel-Super-Vacation goes horribly topsy-turvey when Ra's takes a more pro-active approach to keeping Tim prisoner, and he ends up in an alternate universe where he never existed, and everybody is disorientingly well-adjusted and weirdly obsessed with his “wellness”, whatever that means.
Tim hates mystical artifacts.
(Alternate universe Better Batfam trope)
