Summary
Bezz thinks it's a little hard to understand Cele sometimes. He thinks he should be good at it by now, growing up together and dating for a few years, but Cele can still be so enigmatic, a little closed off. It's not hard to guess the facile emotion he may be feeling, especially when Cele is sulking, it shows up fairly easily. But it's hard to get inside his brain, understand what caused it or how it really makes Cele feel, hard to understand what he's thinking, how he's dealing with it.

Summary
Valentino fucking hated Christmas. He despised it. Every year was a bit worse than the next, and last year was categorically the worst Christmas ever. It was a holiday filled with garish decorations, spoilt children, and poorly disguised misery. He had thought, that after retiring early and having a child, it would become better. But alas, no. Usually, he enjoyed hosting his family at Christmas, but he hadn’t even offered this year. The idea of playing the role of the sycophantic, overly-happy host to his relatives was repulsive. A house full of joy whilst Valentino felt like a pit of despair. He couldn’t stand the laughter and sympathetic looks. He just wanted to drink the day away, cry a bit, and go to bed early, but he had Giulietta.

“Interesting. You think you’re hallucinating me?”
Marc snorts ungracefully, his eyes wet at the corners. Even though Valentino is not real, he doesn’t want to give him the satisfaction of crying, not when he’s caught up in his arms, unable to wriggle himself away.
“Yeah, of course. The real you – the real Valentino would have never come all this way just to…what, hold me and sing me to sleep? Come on. Be for real, tío.”
“I wasn’t thinking about singing you to sleep, honestly. I’m quite bad at it, you would laugh at me instead of sleeping.”
Marc humors the hallucination, sticking his tongue out and blowing something akin to a raspberry. It comes out warped, shallow, but he’s made the effort and that’s – quite a lot, considering that he has spent the past thirty-six hours wallowing in self pity, still and unmoving until all of his joints and muscles screamed and spasmed, forcing him to change positions.Marc believes he's tripping on his pain meds when Valentino shows up at his door, determined to help him with a particularly vicious fit of insomnia that has been keeping him awake for thirty-six hours straight.
