Summary
It's the middle of September in 1982. Modern vagabond, Stanley Pines, is caught offguard on his quest to make it big anywhere in the country. He stopped waiting for his brother to call in the 70's, and now here it is. His brother has just called him up, saying it's time to patch things up and he'd like to see him as soon as possible.
Stan didn't have anything better to do. He didn't need to pack, either. A life on the highway made that task easy. Not knowing what would come next was the hard part.

Summary
The Father of Deceit can pick up on red flags faster than anyone, but in turn that means he may have a blind spot to green flags. As far as he's concerned, the smartest life strategy is to weed out anyone who gets too friendly out of caution for those with ulterior motives. Staying unpalatable was what saved his skin in the ancient war.
Now the Universe has thrown someone his way that fits his fancy. Surely it's another cocky mortal who wants to distribute more astral power to the inhabitants of Inkwell, or, more greedily, keep it to themself?

Summary
Having failed to save his precious little buddy, Sam is too shaken to convince this Max from an alternate universe to go home – With the blood of his best friend and lover on his hands possibly forever, Max could never leave his new Sam alone. They don't mean to replace their original other half, but what else can they do?
No matter how many times they try, Sam and Max can't continue on like normal after this.
Meanwhile, two people on opposite ends of the Sam and Max fan spectrum; Darla Gugenheek, a mildly bitter, self defined 13 year old who's friends playfully refer to as simply "the Geek" and struggling through her own losses; and Lorne, self proclaimed Friend For Life and novice challenge-maker; find themselves even more involved in their favorite detectives' lives.

Summary
In the winter of 1985, Fiddleford H. McGucket disappears. A month later, his body is found in Lake Gravity Falls. He's declared dead. The world moves on.
15 years later, Stan Pines travels to the Three Sisters Mountains to find some mysterious component to the malfunctioning portal in his brother's basement.
Instead he finds a confused and nearly unconscious young man in the woods. The man has no memories, can't recognize a cell phone or correctly name the current president, and can't remember his family. But he can sure fix a car faster than some other sleazy, expensive mechanics, and he's handy with a toolbox.
Stan's not a charitable guy. He's five years from being labeled a miserable old codger. But if a lonely, connection-less drifter with no memories needs a place to stay - well, the Mystery Shack has an empty bedroom, and Stan just remembered there's a convenient job opening for a handyman.

Summary
an AU where instead of Ford, Stan and Fidds are the ones who go through the portal for 30 years
--
Before his eyes, Fiddleford disappeared into the portal with a scream. Something hit his leg with a soft thump, and he turned his head to see Stanford holding a rope.
“Stanley!”
Stanley could hear the shared fright in his voice, and reached his hand out to grab the rope as Ford swung it again. The rope flew through the air, and Stan clutched Fiddleford’s arm in preparation to pull, his arm already sinking into the portal.
“Stanley? Stanley!”
Ford never did have good aim.
