I want a fic showing what this would look like. Doesn't matter if he's just pretending or if it's real, or maybe he doesn't even know himself. Enough people think it's real for it to "get off the ground." How do his friends react? How does Paul react? Doesn't have to be endgame John/Paul, but I'd like that. Mostly I want to see John dancing and flirting in gay clubs. (Maybe Elton's showing him around at first?)

With two discerning appetites, a deal to keep each other fed is the one thing that ties Astarion and Gale together. But the proverbial collar slips all too easily around Gale's throat, the lead feels right in Astarion's unchained hands, and both men think they've bested the other in a game neither should be playing.
In any case. As the greats say in lanceboard: there is no shame in losing to a stronger foe.

He waits, sipping coffee.
“There are many matters that he will now need to pass to me, while I wait to find someone to replace him. And, there is much to attend to at the estate that I have not even thought upon in decades.” Hannibal puts down the letter and picks up his spoon. The crux of the problem emerges. “He is suggesting that I come home."

chaparral_crown and i have been embarking on brevity and decided to do a "write shorter things in july 2022" prompt fest: writing 500 words or less a day based on a prompt word. tei is also doing this fest so please go check her fics out too!
aestivation is NOT a collection of individual fics. it's a continuous story where each short chapter is rooted in the prompt word of the day. there is an overarching story here and plot, so i wouldn't recommend reading out of order as things won't make sense.

Summary
The worst part about waking up in the hospital was waking up at all.
Something unfixable broke inside him. Something that was already broken, but now even more so.
Will Graham cannot fathom another return to the correctional facility, so he ensures his own freedom in the only way he sees possible – running. He just so chooses to run towards a particularly destructive path, following a very familiar trail of blood spilling across the Atlantic Ocean.
But he’s not the only one hunting and very quickly he finds himself under a dangerous thumb. The pigs have an excellent sense of smell, and while they may prove to be fatal they are also an opportunity.
