“What’s the Black family madness?” Sirius asked, trailing behind her as she decided against the item she was looking at in the store window and moves on.
“It’s an excuse.”
“An excuse?”
“For our family's bad behavior.” She huffed before turning around to face him. She cups his face in her hands. “Don’t believe them. There is no madness. There is a spark - a rebellion within every one of us. That is the madness they speak of, but it’s those who chose to act upon their fire who are burned off the tree and shunned as insane.” Her eyes were intense as she continued. “Don’t believe them. Don’t lose that spark. I can see it inside you, that little touch of madness. Grab ahold of it and don’t let go. Promise me?”
Sirius nods, not completely sure what he’s agreeing to, but it seemed important. “Promise, Andy.”

Sirius Black has always heard rumors of the Black family madness. His cousin Andromeda has always described it as a spark - a choice that every one in their family has to make. But it's the first wizarding war, and no family legend becomes one without a reason. Especially, when a loved one gets hurt.

“What's something that you’ve never told anyone?” Malfoy asks him.
“My favourite colour is pink.” Harry settles on after a minute, watching Malfoy, curious for his reaction.
“Really?” Malfoy asks, incredulous yet delighted. “What shade are we talking about here? Like, hot pink or magenta?” Malfoy pouts playfully, feigning deep consideration. “Magenta is really more purple-y though,” he adds, flashing a teasing grin at Harry.
Harry sighs.
Or, it's eighth year at Hogwarts and the boys have a chance to get to know each other, especially since they're dormed together. It all starts with a game of truth or dare where there really isn't much daring going on. Can they open their hearts to each other without falling in love in the process? Probably not.

Summary
Escape rooms aren't that bad right? A few simple puzzles, a little running around, usual stuff.
At least that's what Sirius thought when he dragged James to an escape room. What he didn't realise was how easily he can get scared. Cut to Sirius running from an insane doctor in an asylum and getting stuck in a cupboard; the only problem, he is claustrophobic.
Remus just wanted a quiet Sunday.
I wrote this on a whim, so its a small, cute read, with some angst.
